SAMANVAY Cultural Festival

Banskantha District Kelvani Mandal organized the two-day “SAMANVAY” Cultural Festival on 28th February and 1st March, 2026 at K. Girdharlal Open Air Theatre, G.D. Modi Vidyasankul, Palanpur, in memory of Late Shri Shirishkumar Modi. The festival brought together diverse forms of art and culture on a single platform.

The Art Exhibition was inaugurated by renowned painter Shri Ramnikbhai Raval. The exhibition showcased artworks created by the current and alumni students of the Painting Department, and it received wide appreciation from visitors.The evening continued with musical performances by M. A. Parikh Fine Arts and Arts College's Music Department's Naad Parnasha Musical Group, creating a rich and engaging atmosphere. This was followed by the play “Pasla Ni Asli,” presented by Ashish Thakar. The powerful dialogue and expressive acting left a strong impression on the audience.

1st March, 2026

On the second day, Chitrakala Mahotsav was organized with enthusiastic participation from art lovers and students in large numbers. Prize distribution was conducted in five different categories, encouraging artistic excellence.The Art Exhibition remained open to visitors throughout the day. Naad Parnasha Group presented soulful ghazals that were warmly appreciated. Khushal Prajapati, a student of M A Parikh Fine Arts and Arts College, performed a popular Rajasthani folk presentation in female attire, which became one of the highlights of the programme.The festival concluded with “Vividha: Manifold Moods of Kathak,” a Kathak recital presented by Anart Dance Company. The performance beautifully reflected the grace, rhythm, and expressive range of Kathak.A large number of citizens from Palanpur and surrounding areas attended the festival, making SAMNVAY a memorable cultural celebration for the region.
