Celebration of Raksha Bandhan Festival

On 08/08/2025, under the joint initiative of the NSS Unit at M.A. Parikh Fine Arts and Arts College, managed by the Banaskantha District Kelavani Mandal, the celebration of the Raksha Bandhan festival was held at the Hindu Samaj Old Age Home "Jyotindra Jeevan Sandhya" in Palanpur.Around 30 volunteers tied raksha sutras (protective threads) to the elderly residents and staff members, applied the traditional kumkum-chokha (vermilion and rice) mark on their foreheads, offered sweets, and invoked the removal of mental impurities and negative emotions. The significance of the raksha sutra was also explained, emphasizing that communion with the Supreme Father, the Almighty, is possible only through purity.The entire program was organized under the guidance of the college principal, Dr. Rameshkumar B. Patel, and coordinated by NSS Program Officers Dr. Ganpatbhai K. Chaudhary and Dr. Khushbuben K. Chaudhary.
