Concluding Ceremony of the Special Camp under the National Service Scheme

A special annual camp under the National Service Scheme (NSS) was organized by M.A. Parikh Fine Arts & Arts College, Palanpur, affiliated with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, and managed by Banas Kantha District Kelavani Mandal. The camp took place in Khemana village from January 25, 2025, to January 31, 2025. The closing ceremony of this special camp was held on January 31, 2025, at Khemana Primary School.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the faculty members of the college. The NSS volunteers presented a prayer and welcome song through a theatrical performance. The teaching and non-teaching staff who attended the event were welcomed with flower bouquets by the schoolteachers, while the villagers who contributed to the camp were honoured by the faculty members in a similar manner. The village Sarpanch, Principal of the Primary School Payalben Modi, and Principal of the Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools Piyushbhai Prajapati were also welcomed by the college faculty.

As part of the event, the NSS volunteers performed traditional dance and Garba. A sports festival was organized for the school students, and the winners were awarded certificates and prizes by the NSS volunteers to encourage their enthusiasm.

The event witnessed active participation from villagers, college faculty, school students, and NSS volunteers, making it a grand success. Village leaders, including Sarpanch Shri Daljibhai Chaudhary, Principal of the Primary School Payalben Modi, and Principal of the Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools Piyushbhai Prajapati, took full responsibility for the event.

The program was hosted by Dr. Aakruti Panchal, while the vote of thanks was delivered by NSS Program Officer Shravan Kumar Kharani. The entire event was conducted under the guidance of College Principal Dr. Rameshkumar B. Patel and was organized by NSS Program Officers Shravan Kumar Kharani and Dr. Ganpatbhai Chaudhary.
