Department of English Organises Academic Session on Effective Communication

The Department of English, M. A. Parikh Fine Arts & Arts College, Palanpur, organised an academic session on “Effective Communication: Principles, Skills and Practices” for students. The programme focused on the importance of effective communication in academic, professional, and interpersonal contexts.

The session featured Dr. Premnath R. Mishra, Head of the Department of English, Sheth M. N. Science College, Patan, as the resource person. He addressed the students on the essential principles and practices of effective communication, with particular emphasis on clarity of expression, confidence in speaking, active listening, appropriate use of language, and meaningful interaction.

Through an engaging and interactive session, Dr. Mishra encouraged students to reflect on their communication practices and highlighted the importance of effective communication in academic and professional life. He also shared practical insights to help students express their ideas clearly, listen attentively, and communicate with confidence.

The programme was conducted by Dr. Bhavik Goswami and Prof. Harsh Desai under the guidance of Principal Dr. R. B. Patel. The initiative provided students with valuable exposure to practical aspects of communication and encouraged them to develop skills essential for their academic and professional growth.
