Lecture on Consumer Protection and Consumer Awareness Conducted

The NSS unit of M. A. Parikh Fine Arts and Arts College, Palanpur, managed by the Banaskantha District Kelavani Mandal, organised a lecture on Consumer Protection and Consumer Awareness on 17 December 2025. The lecture was delivered by Shri H. A. Mir, a retired Assistant Consumer Protection Officer from the Banaskantha Consumer Protection, Education, and Research Mandal, Palanpur.During the session, the volunteers were guided on how to protect themselves from fraudulent advertisements and deceptive practices. The speaker provided basic knowledge of consumer awareness and public education, and also informed students about food adulteration and the importance of consumer rights under consumer protection laws for ensuring health and safety. A total of 157 volunteers participated in the programme.The successful conduct of the programme was made possible with the support of the college staff members. The event was organised under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Rameshkumar B. Patel, and was planned and coordinated by NSS Programme Officers Dr. Ganpatbhai Chaudhary and Dr. Khushbuben Chaudhary.
