M. A. Parikh Fine Arts & Arts College Organises Educational Visit to Historical and Cultural Sites of Palanpur

M. A. Parikh Fine Arts & Arts College, Palanpur, organised an educational visit to the historical and cultural landmarks of Palanpur under the guidance of Principal Dr. R. B. Patel. The initiative aimed to familiarise students with the region’s rich heritage and promote awareness of historical conservation.

During the visit, students explored five significant sites: Zorawar Palace, Pataleshwar Mahadev, Kirti Stambh, Mira Darwaja, and Mithi Vav. At each location, they gained valuable insights into its historical background, architectural features, cultural significance, and religious traditions. The visit to Mithi Vav also introduced students to traditional water conservation practices and their relevance to heritage preservation.

Dr. Ashok Suthar and Prof. Harsh Desai served as the conveners of the programme. The visit enabled students to connect classroom learning with firsthand observation, fostering an appreciation of local history, architectural traditions, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage for future generations.

The educational initiative reflected the college’s commitment to experiential learning and the promotion of historical and cultural awareness among students.
