Student Visit at ‘Cultural Saturday @ Vadnagar’

The ‘Cultural Saturday @ Vadnagar’ program is organized every Saturday at Vadnagar. On February 1, 2025, the event showcased glimpses of the rich heritage and culture of the region. Students from the History Department of M.A. Parikh Fine Arts & Arts College, Palanpur, managed by Banas Kantha District Kelavani Mandal, participated in this program.

As part of the event, students explored Vadnagar’s Heritage Walk, visited the Archaeological Experience Museum, and enjoyed performances of folk songs, Bhavai (folk theatre), and Bharatanatyam dance. Additionally, a live painting session was conducted by students from the Painting Department, depicting the architecture and cultural essence of Vadnagar. The Music Department students mesmerized the audience with their folk songs.

To make the visit a cherished memory, students wrote postcards, capturing their experience and making the trip even more memorable. The entire event was conducted under the guidance of College Principal Dr. Rameshbhai Patel and was successfully coordinated by Dr. Ashokbhai Suthar and Prof. Vandanaben Rajgor from the History Department, Prof. Narendra Patel and Prof. Baishakhi Patel from the Painting Department, and Prof. Rajatbhai Mehta from the Music Department.
