Department of English of M. A. Parikh Fine Arts and Arts College, Palanpur, proudly hosted an engaging guest lecture session on February 24, 2025, featuring Dr. Hardik Thakkar from St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad, as the resource person. The session, titled “ Mastering Phonetics with AI and Web Tools ”, was designed to introduce students to the innovative intersection of phonetics and technology. With a keen focus on practical application, Dr. Thakkar’s lecture seamlessly blended theoretical insights with the latest AI and web-based tools, providing a comprehensive overview of phonetic principles enhanced by modern technology.

The interactive format of the session set it apart from traditional lectures. Students actively participated in a series of thoughtfully curated games centered on phonetics, encouraging them to experiment with AI and web tools in real time. This hands-on approach not only deepened their understanding of phonetic nuances but also demonstrated how technology can be harnessed to simplify complex linguistic concepts.
