The Department of Sanskrit, successfully organized an insightful guest lecture on "Vaidic Literature in the Context of Bhartiya Gyan Parampara" on September 9, 2024.The lecture was delivered by the renowned scholar Dr. Dilkhush Patel, who is an expert in Vedic studies and Bhartiya philosophy. In his enlightening talk, Dr. Dilkhush Patel explored the profound depth of Vaidic literature, emphasizing its pivotal role in shaping the intellectual and spiritual traditions of India. Dr. Patel also connected the relevance of Vaidic knowledge to modern day challenges, highlighting its contributions to Indian philosophical thought, ethics, and science. The program was managed with excellence by Dr. Nirav Kansara from the Department of Sanskrit, who ensured the smooth coordination of the event under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr.Rameshbhai B. Patel. Students, faculty members, and scholars from various disciplines actively participated in the session, making it an enriching academic experience for all.
The "Gita Jayanti Day" was celebrated at M.A. Parikh Fine Arts and Arts College, Palanpur, under the Sanskrit Department, organized by the Banaskantha District kelavani mandal, on the occasion of Magshar Shukla Paksha Ekadashi (Mokshada Ekadashi). Dr. Nirav Kansara, Head of the Sanskrit Department, gave an inspiring discourse stating that the Bhagavad Gita is the only scripture in the world whose birth anniversary is celebrated every year globally. He also managed the program and expressed gratitude. The event was successfully organized under the guidance and inspiration of the college's Principal, Dr. Rameshbhai B. Patel.
The 22nd All India Hemchandracharya Sanskrit Samaroh, jointly organized by the Postgraduate Department of Sanskrit and Indian Studies of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan and Shrimad Hemchandracharya Jain Mandir, Patan, was held at Patan Mukam on 22/23/24 February 2025. The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor of Patan University, Professor Dr. K. C. Poriya, Vice Chancellor of seven other universities, as well as Dr. Bhagwatcharan Shukla, Grammar Department of Kashi University, and other dignitaries from various provinces of the country.
