Every human being, in my opinion, is born with the enormous potential to succeed in a variety of professions, and education has the responsibility to cultivate these innate abilities in a way that allows for the full development of the personality. Teachers, who serve as education facilitators, are essential to the process, and educational institutions must offer a practical setting for them to do so.
We all know that education is a process of holistic growth that includes physical, mental, social, spiritual, moral, and economic aspects in order to generate excellent citizens for the nation. M.A. Parikh Fine Arts & Arts College, with that philosophy, has made significant progress in providing quality education.
Ours is a self-financed institution for advanced training in the fine arts, leading to the full time Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts & Visual Art, of three- and four-years duration respectively. The college covers the disciplines of Music and Painting. It also runs a three-year degree programme in Humanities in the disciplines of English Literature, Psychology, and Gujarati with the subsidiary subjects Political Science and Sanskrit with over 1500 students and a staff, both teaching and non-teaching of about 30. The teachers at our college are young, active, dynamic, and eager to devote all of their time and resources to the students. The College has a large and spacious playground, a gymnasium, an art gallery, an open theatre, an Audio-Visual Hall, and a well-equipped library. The college also offers career-oriented courses such as computer application, arts and crafts, dance and music, creative writing, and food processing. We are working hard to make this institution a centre of excellence in the near future.
As the college's Principal, I express my heartfelt greetings to all of the founding as well as the present members of the college administration, parents, teachers, and all other stakeholders. I would also like to take this opportunity to ask all stakeholders to assist us in realising our dream of transforming this college into a centre for educational excellence by nurturing academically accomplished, socially conscious, morally sound, and economically resourceful individuals who will serve as a model for society and an asset to the country.
