On 24th September 2025, the Gujarat Rajya Lalit Kala Akademi, Gandhinagar, celebrated the artistic journey of Narendra Patel, an Artist and professor from Banaskantha, by honoring him with the prestigious Gujarat Gaurav Puraskar (2021–22). The award, which carries a cash prize of RS.51,000, was presented by Shri Mulubhai Bera, Minister of Culture, Government of Gujarat, in a heartfelt felicitation ceremony. For Narendra Patel, this was more than just a personal achievement. It was a proud moment for Banaskantha and for the countless students whose lives he has touched through art.

Parikh Fine Arts and Arts College, Palanpur proudly announces that its faculty member, Bhavikgiri Vishnugiri Goswami, from the Department of English, has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) on 15 April 2026 by Gujarat Technological University. He completed his doctoral research under the guidance of Dr. Vaseem Qureshi on the topic: “Transgender Narratives and Identity Crisis in Indian and American Transgender Literature: A Comparative Study.” The management, Principal Dr. R.B. Patel and faculty members of the college have congratulated Dr. Bhavikgiri Goswami on this noteworthy academic achievement and extended their best wishes for his future endeavours.
